Indeed, a team of researchers at the University of Foreth-ICS and the Infocomm Research Institute have developed a small ploy to demonstrate the potential dangerousness of applications running on the network. Researchers have voluntarily placed malicious code on the application in question in order to generate queries and saturate an HTTP server. With each click of a mouse, the application returned a petition of 600 kb on the server. The team announced that the code could largely be developed with JavaScript automating these queries at regular intervals. The mass adoption community networks by Internet offers us a unique opportunity to study the vulnerabilities exploited to transform these venues platforms antisocial activities and illegal attacks such as denial of service, proliferation of malware, spam or violation of privacy. 1] iLike - Add you favorite songs on this app and see who else likes it. Also, add up coming music concert you are planning to visit and you might have company! The best part of this application is the “Challenge”. Click on Play Challenge and it starts playing songs and asks you to identify the song, album, artist, etc… believe me its addictive.
2] Free Gift - It’s a silly little application which probably does not make sense to most of us, But as creator Zachary Allia, says “It’s the thought that counts.” You can send and receive gifts with this application.
3] MeetingWave - This is a useful application that allows users to meet new business contacts, clients or even prospective employers. All a user needs to do is post a Private Invite for a business meeting in the real world, set the time, date and venue for the meeting and wait till somebody from the Facebook world accepts his or her invite.
4] MyDocuments – This application sounds like Microsoft Windows but works like Google Docs. Users can upload any types of document on their Facebook accounts, then share it with their friends.

8] Super Wall – This is one of Facebook’s most popular application and it ought to be useful as well. This application lets users share photos, videos, graffiti and more with their Facebook friends. Why is this useful? Because it breaks the barrier of seriousness among some friends who may not be involved with Facebook. Some of these Super Walls may be quite annoying at times, but the application serves its own purpose and seems to be doing this with flying colors.
9] Graffiti - It is a simple application which lets you put your imagination at work and come up with colorful Graffiti. These Graffiti can be sent to your friends or they can just hang on your Graffiti wall and visitors can leave comments and also respond by drawing something for you.

The filter has been introduced in India, and is turned on by default for all the users. Google plans to introduce it in other countries in the next few weeks.
The new filter monitors and filters the content that may violate Orkut's community standards. The new filter will likely vary from country to country or from one household to another. Users have the option to turn off the filter.
With the "Safety Filter" on, If a user come across the content such as photos or text that they may find unacceptable, they will receive a warning and the specific content will be replaced by special icons.
However, according to Orkut, no filter is fully accurate and so users may come across a page that they think should be blocked. Users can flag it as usual and let Orkut know.

There are numerous Orkut profiles with fake picture copied from genuine users. So, this is indeed a very good move by Orkut to control privacy of its users.
But don't worry friends i have found a solution for this now by following few simple steps you can save pictures of another users:-
- First Open the photo/image that you want to download.
- Click on it and hold down the left mouse key and drag it to the tool bar, and release the mouse key.
- Now it should open in a new tab with only the image.
- Right Click on the image, and select Save As, browse to the path where you want to save the image and click on save.

Mobile users accessing Facebook spend an average of 24 minutes per day on the site, similar to the 27.5 minutes spent by PC users. Mobile users on Facebook averaged 3.3 visits per day versus 2.3 visits per day by PC users. Mobile is used consistently throughout the whole day, but the early morning (7-10am) is the key day part for mobile, accounting for 22% of total mobile minutes browsed, compared with only 11% of total minutes browsed by PC Internet users in the same day part. Mobile can therefore act as an extension to media such as the Internet and TV, while it reinforces other early morning media, such as radio and newspapers. Mobile is confirmed as a strong youth medium with 48% of users between 18-34 years old, compared to 40% for the fixed Internet and 29% for the TV audience. Mobile is also more skewed towards men, who represent 63% of total users compared with 53% for the fixed Internet.
